Thanks to an unexpected mid-November heatwave (you have to love the Southwest), I am running around in Gypsy 05's iconic Simple Organic Maxi Dress in peach and pink lemonade Trove Tkees sandals. Tuesday was freezing, however, so I piled on one style trend after another to keep warm. To top off my tights and sweater and booties, I cinched my waist with my favorite Linea Pelle belt. Even though I haven't quite admitted to myself how much I splurged on that belt, I've worn it quite a bit, making it one of my most used purchases this fall. This makes perfect sense, since the belt trend is one of the most visible ones around. Basically, add a belt on top of any sweater, shirt or dress and you're suddenly on trend.
Though just about any belt will do to get you on trend (especially if you tie it instead of fastening it properly), this brand has stolen my heart because of their unique styles that you see nowhere else. From the Vintage Pieced Leather Belt with its decidedly seventies, hippie feel to the very modern Pyramid Studded Hip Belt seen on Gwen Stefani, I love them all. Plus, they make the most HiPPi of all accessories, the cuff bracelet. Though I'm mentioning them almost as an afterthought, Linea Pelle purses are hugely popular with celebrities and for good reason. Basically every item made by this brand is just perfect.
A style blog for the fashionably, socially and financially conscious.

November's Crushes
Another month has passed and it is time for an entirely new list of things with which I am obsessed. As usual, at least one is an album or artist and most are fashion or beauty related. However, there are a couple of things this month that I am obsessed with that are not music or beauty or fashion related; but, they are so beloved that I cannot get enough. My phone died in the middle of the month and had to be replaced and boy do I love the replacement! After three months of repeatedly going to get this one treat on an every-other-day basis, I decided that it must be included in the list.

Brands We Love - Trove Tkees
The weather shot up to 80 degrees here in Colorado today and I happily unglued all of my breezy hippie gear from my hangers. All dolled up with my favorite Gypsy 05 jumpsuit and Gorjana earrings that I can't live without, I slipped on my new favorite pair of sandals from Trove Tkees. These sandals' colors are inspired by different types of make-up and my new faves are a pair of pink lemonade "gloss" sandals which were briefly mentioned in the Beautiful for the Cure post.
These sandals made their way onto that list because 15% of the October profits from that particular color are being donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. That in itself makes them one awesome pair of sandals, but Trove Tkees are pretty awesome even without the charitable donation. They are a great pair of flat, leather, thong sandals that just make the foot look extremely nice. They are so good at doing it that they are the go to sandal for celebrities whenever they are in a relaxed atmosphere just living their every day lives - much how Nation Ltd. is the go to t-shirt company. Odds are that you've seen celebrities wearing these sandals dozens of times, even though you may not have known what they were. Now, just like Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Hayden Panettiere, Lauren Conrad, Blake Lively, Jennifer Aniston, Rachel Bilson, Ashley Simpson-Wentz, Lindsay Lohan, Denise Richards and others, I am completely hooked on these shoes. As a former Havaiana fanatic, this is saying a lot. Before these I would buy nothing but Havaianas. Now, I have completely ditched Havaianas for Tkees.
The one downside is that, because of their immense popularity, the manufacturer is barely able to keep up production in order to meet demand. My favorite colors, the "foundation" shoes, which are colored to match different skin tones are especially hard to find. They are celebrity favorites and so everyone snatches those up as soon a they are available. Beside "foundations," the shoes also come in "liners," "highlighters," "shadows," "lipsticks," "blushes," "glosses" and "creams." Soon, they will be releasing two more categories named "lip glosses" and "polishes." Tkees will also begin to sell the sandals on their website, instead of through other retailers. Until then, they can be purchased at Singer 22, The Trend Boutique, South Beach Swimsuits and Adorn. They are no longer for sale at Bloomingdale's or Net-a-Porter.
