Fuchsia Slingbacks

Fuchsia Slingbacks

So if you're a regular follower, then you've seen these shoes before and you're beyond aware of my obsession with them. I'm a firm believer in letting a statement shoe, make it's statement, loud and clear, front and center. And though this Giuseppe Zanotti sling-back is without a doubt that kind of shoe, I think in this instance, the limelight is better shared with an amazing, statement making dress (or six).

  1. It's like having a few moments of virtual dress up. Cute outfits :)

  2. Love those dresses! Especially the DvF and the Pilotto. I've always had a thing for the shape of those McQueen clutches. TopShop ripped off that shape and had a leopard print for $100, but it sold out quickly. I also love that Britannica bad and the serpent bangle.

I would never choose those outfits on my own (mainly because I would shy away from that many statement pieces in one outfit); but I agree with nakia. They are all very well put together and this is some really amazing styling.

  3. Thank you ladies, you're too kind. Most of these outfits are too much for me too, so when I was putting them together, I was picturing Demi Lovato wearing them to various events. It might be silly/lame, but it worked. :-)

My favorite dress is the Emilio Pucci and the entire Erdem Zoffany outfit. I love how the magenta color in that one is very subtle.

And if I could buy anything from that whole page, any outfit, it would be the $13,000 Pristine earring. *sigh*

  4. Whatever you did, it did work. When I said that this is some really amazing styling that was a bit of an understatement. This one just blew me away. I plan to steal the basic framework upon which you built each of these looks next time I want to really look amazing.

  5. Stop it. You're inflating my ego!

I'm a firm believer that a great dress BELONGS with a great pair of shoes.
If you've got on statement making earrings, you don't need to make a statement with your necklace. If your handbag says "LOOK AT ME, I'M A STAR!", then everything else around your hands should be a frame for that bag. I believe in putting on too much and then removing and re-adding each piece one by one, until it's right. (Which is why it takes me HOURS to get ready to go anywhere.) I believe in following trends, but only if they make you comfortable. Creating your own trends is way more important.

  6. Well, you are well aware, by now of what I've worn the last two days and the many compliments I received on them. You may have picked up on the fact that they were both inspired by this post. I even alluded to one of them in the most recent post. I forgot to add the clutch bags in my rundown of those outfits, but they were both accessorized with clutches exactly as you did here.
